To the political leadership of the Ministry of Justice and to officials of the Ministry, a new system was presented today by the company “Uni Systems MAE” for the automation and simplification of the procedures for the collection, processing and exchange of reliable statistical data by the courts.
According to his announcement Ministry of Justice this project, which is expected to be implemented in one year and is financed by the NSRF, achieves the automation and simplification of data collection, processing and exchange procedures, as well as the better administration of the judicial system and its more efficient operation, while the full compliance of the Ministry of Justice with the requirements of national, European and international organizations for keeping and providing statistical data.
The aim of the project is to collect primary data from different sources and carry out their statistical analysis with the aim of enhancing transparency in relation to the work of the Judiciary, making public, reliable and accurate data concerning its award, the support of strategic decisions towards the direction of further improvement and acceleration of judicial processes, as well as the measurement of performance indicators based on real-time data.
According to the announcement, “these statistics will relate to the flow and number of cases, the speed of judicial formations, the time of adjournments, the age of pending cases, extreme delays and the exercise of legal remedies (appeals and appeals) against judicial of decisions by court, category of cases, object and stage of each case”.
At the same time, it is planned to export statistics by category for specific crimes, such as: protection of the euro and other currencies from counterfeiting, smuggling of fuel, alcohol and tobacco products, money laundering, trafficking, discrimination, exploitation of minors, European arrest warrant, corruption cases, international terrorism.
