“It’s true that celebrity kids have it all easier,” he said, but explained that it bothered him when someone suggested he had an easy time because of his mother, especially in sports.
The son of Maria Bakodimou and Dimitris Argyropoulos talked about the difficult times when his mother was hospitalized, but also about his life as a child of celebrities on the show “Morning SuSou”.
Aris Argyropoulos revealed that he recently started working in catering and running his own clothing line at the same time. In addition, he mentioned his father, saying that he identifies with his style, which has evolved over the years, and that the two of them often discuss ideas and opinions. However, he emphasized that he does not discuss his personal matters with anyone. “I identify more with my dad’s style that has evolved over the years and I think he’s quite well-dressed. He always has a red sock, he wears no other color. We often discuss ideas and exchange opinions. He is turned around, he has experienced good things and he conveys them to me. I don’t discuss my personal matters with anyone,” he said characteristically.
Regarding his mother’s health, he said that the situation made it difficult for her, while he characterized Maria Bakodimou as a person with faith in herself, who managed to combine professional and family life successfully. “It was a strange time when my mother was hospitalized, it made it difficult for me. My mother is happy off TV, she likes what she does and is doing well. He treats me like a coach, but that’s how he’s always been. She is a person who will always succeed, because she has faith in herself and can transfer that to others. She has done a good job as a mother and as a professional. When they told me, how it seems to me that she is on TV, I said “for me she is my mom”, he said.
He also spoke about his life as a celebrity child, saying that in the past it was difficult for him to see insults to his parents, but now he gets upset if they hurt them. Finally, he explained that it bothered him when someone claimed that he himself had an advantage because of his mother, especially in sports. “When I was younger it bothered me to see something offensive to my parents. Now I will be upset, if they are upset. It is true that famous children find everything easier. I used to take my mom to find me a table in the shops. Only in sports has it bothered me because they said “he plays because he is the son of Bakodimos”, while I played because I had to play. We had forbidden her to talk about us, because she would come out and say what she sees as a mother. She glorifies her sons too much, which is not the case,” she said in closing.
