Bitcoin breached the $90,000 barrier for the first time today, with the world’s best-known cryptocurrency continuing its impressive rally following Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election.
Trump is seen as more supportive of cryptocurrencies than Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, and the market is discounting a softer line on cryptocurrency regulation under the new Trump administration.
Bitcoin breached the $90,000 mark around 16:30 Greek time, reaching even above $91,000 and a few minutes later closed up 2.66% at $90,670.
