What the Information System data shows about workers’ earnings – How many were employed in more than one business

The number of employees who were employed under private law dependent labor in 2023 compared to 2022 has increased by 47,246 new jobs, showing an annual increase of 2.10%.

In particular, from the processing of the data obtained from the “ERGANI” Information System, in the context of the annual filing of the personnel statements of all the companies that employ employees in a dependent labor relationship under private law in the year 2023, it appears that the employees (as natural persons) with a private law employment relationship amount to 2,296,845.

However, as some of the aforementioned hold more than one job, it follows that the number of workers employed in jobs amounts to 2,419,220 (total covered jobs). It is therefore established that 122,375 people are employed in more than one company.

Accordingly, according to the recorded data of the “ERGANI” Information System for the year 2022, the employees (as natural persons) with a private law employment relationship amounted to 2,249,599, while the number of employees employed in jobs amounted to 2,361. 342 (total covered jobs).

The amount of wages in 2023

Based on the data of the “ERGANI” Information System for 2023, 53.68% of employees are paid up to 1,000 euros. Specifically:

  • 284,134 employees (12.37%) had monthly salaries of up to 500 euros,
  • 77,145 workers (3.36%) had a monthly salary between 501 euros and 600 euros,
  • 54,505 workers (2.37%) received a salary between 601 euros and 700 euros,
  • 293,928 workers (12.80%) had monthly salaries between 701 euros and 800 euros,
  • 193,472 workers (8.42%) received a salary between 801 euros and 900 euros and
  • 329,847 employees (14.36%) had a monthly salary of between 901 euros and 1,000 euros.

36.54% of employees received a monthly salary between 1,001 euros and 2,000 euros. Specifically:

  • From 1,001 euros to 1,200 euros received 373,163 employees (16.25%),
  • From 1,201 euros to 1,500 euros received 257,574 employees (11.21%)
  • From 1,501 euros to 2,000 euros received by 208,623 employees (9.08%)

End, from 2,001 euros to over 3,000 euros received 9.77% of the workers. Specifically:

  • The monthly salary range was from 2,001 euros to 2,500 euros for 92,565 workers (4.03%).
  • From 2,501 euros to 3,000 euros, the monthly salaries for 48,401 employees (2.11%) ranged
  • The salary was greater than 3,000 euros for 83,488 workers (3.63%).
