The defendants were arrested after a coordinated police operation held on Monday (28/4) at the same time at 8 different locations in the wider area of ​​western Attica by police officers of the Northern Attica and Criminal Criminal Criminal Criminal Crimes and Criminal Crimes.

At the expense of the detainees, but also at least 7 of their identified associates, a case file was filed for – as a case -by -case – distinguished thefts, co -conspiracy and continuous, committed and attempted, a criminal organization, attempted homicide (police officer).

According to the police investigation, the members of the organization, who have a rich criminal past, at least since mid -March had set up and joined a criminal organization, with distinct roles and constant action and sought to commit distinguished thefts, with the aim of illegal income.

In particular, according to ELAS, the defendants, with the base of the Ano Liosia area, where they were gathered before the thefts were committed, were committing luxury houses in various areas of Attica and Chalkida.

In terms of their way, the driver of the criminal organization with the “business” vehicle, which was stationed in a “Kavatza”, received the other members of the criminal group and entered the Attica Road at high speed, until they reached their prospective goals.

Their target was selected with the ease of access (ground floor houses or climbing), as well as easy and immediate escape, while more than one theft in the day, seeking to deduct the maximum possible profit.

Indeed, members of the organization, for the commitment of burglaries, were always properly fitted with crowds and other tools, while making sure that all parts of their bodies were covered with gloves, hats, surgical masks, hoods and full-face hoods and hoods.

In addition, they used leased luxury large -cube vehicles because of the cubism and horsepower, they also facilitated their escape, while allowing burglaries to be carried out with the participation of even 5 operational members.

Also, in order to make it difficult to detect them, they often chose to adjust to the “operational” vehicles fake or stolen signs as well as tinted windows, and often moved the vehicle to a different location – “kavatza”.

Finally, after the theft they channeled their prey to the leader of the organization, who handed it over to a pawnshop in order to obtain an immediate economic benefit and not keep the thefts for a long time.

From her investigation, the police verified the involvement of the defendants in 15 cases of theft and in one case of attempted homicide against a DIAS police officer, who attempted to drag a vehicle to escape a police search.

ELAS estimates that the total economic benefit of the organization is EUR 35,000, while investigating their participation in other cases of theft.

Of the physical surveys and research carried out in houses, among other things, they found and confiscated:

* multitude of hand watches,

* 12 mobile phones,

* SIM cards,

* Tracking Circuit Circuit Circuit,

* 2 vehicle keys,

* drone with controller and

* Game machine.

The detainees, with the case file formed against them, were led to the competent prosecutor’s office and referred to an investigator.
