The Minister of Tourism has given attention to the promotion of public infrastructure and will positively influence tourism
The newly built convention center of Theartemis Palace Hotel in Rethymnon recently visited Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogiannis as part of her tour of Crete.
It is a state -of -the -art conference center of high technical and operational specifications, with social and environmental international certification, with a capacity of 600 people with polymorphic facilities suitable to host conferences, workshops and a variety of promotional events. Theartemis Palace Hotel & Conference Center is located in the center of the city of Rethymnon and is another major addition to the collective local effort to enhance the image of Rethymnon and Crete as the destination of International Conferences of High Lands.
As Mrs Kefalogiannis pointed out, this private tourist investment is an essential step in the city of Rethymnon towards sustainable tourism development, through the dissemination of special targets out of the tourist peak, while contributing to the further stimulation and resilience of the local economy. The Minister of Tourism also met with the Board of Directors of the Rethymnon Hoteliers Association, discussing with them the key issues that concern tourism in the county.
The club even submitted a memorandum with its positions on the main issues related to the island and affect tourism development. Ms Kefalogiannis in statements has given her a significant emphasis on the promotion of public infrastructure that is upgraded and will positively affect tourism. He was particularly stood in BOAK, finally in the implementation phase and the upgrading of Chania Airport, which can play a decisive role in the expansion of the tourist season.
