A total of 567,462 applications were submitted for 1,015,077 checks
The record set out the interest in this year’s Social Tourism Program of the Public Employment Service, as 567,462 applications for 1,015,077 had submitted checks, as announced by DBA.
Immediately begins the process of checking and scoring applications prior to the announcement of the temporary results. It is recalled that the program will start for the first time on June 1, 2025 and relates to 300,000 vouchers, with a budget of € 50 million. Beneficiaries can carry out up to six nights in the accommodation they choose from the DBA “Register”, after their consultation with the provider, with a slight private participation.
Especially in Leros, Lesvos, Chios, Kos, Samos and Rhodes can take up to ten nights free of charge (zero private participation), while in the municipalities of Northern Evia and Evros, as well as in Thessaly (except Sporades), they can take place up to twelve nights.
In addition to staying in tourist accommodation, ferry tickets are subsidized. Participation is 25%, while tickets are free for people with disabilities. It is noted that the program provides for special scoring for single parent and for people with disabilities and increased scoring for lower income beneficiaries.
Also, people with disabilities provide for participation each year, the entitled of escort and zero private participation in the ferry tickets, and they are not imposed if they do not use their checks.
