Who are the beneficiaries?
Enforcement actions on movable or immovable property for natural persons and businesses affected by the heavy rains, floods and landslides of September in the Region are suspended for six months Thessaly by decision of the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kostis Hatzidakis, which was published in the Government Gazette (Government Gazette B’ 6444/10.11.2023).
The specific decision foresees the suspension until March 4, 2024 of the implementation auctionsconfiscations, expulsions and personal detentions, as well as the deadlines for exercising remedies and aids related to pending enforcement proceedings.
Beneficiaries of suspension, as reported by the Athens News Agency, are businesses certified as affected by a certificate from the Region of Thessaly and included in the context of state aid to affected businesses, as well as natural persons, who are certified to have suffered damage to their homes, in the context of their inclusion in the housing assistance and household equipment compensation scheme.
In particular, the decision concerns businesses and natural persons affected by the heavy rains, floods and landslides:
- on September 4, 2023, in the areas of the Larissa Regional Unit of the Region of Thessaly, as well as in the Municipalities of Farsala, Tempo, Killeler and Agia that have already been declared in a state of civil protection emergency due to flood phenomena, on September 6, 2023, in the areas of the Regional Larissa Unit of Thessaly Region,
- on September 4, 2023, in the areas of the Regional Unit of Magnesia and Sporades of the Region of Thessaly as well as in the remaining areas of the Regional Unit of Magnesia and Sporades that have already been declared in a state of civil protection emergency due to flooding phenomena,
- on September 4, 2023, in the areas of the Regional Unit of Karditsa of the Region of Thessaly as well as in the remaining areas of the Regional Unit of Karditsa that have already been declared in a state of civil protection emergency due to flooding phenomena,
- on September 4, 2023, in the areas of the Trikala Regional Unit of the Region of Thessaly, as well as in the other areas of the Trikala Regional Unit which have already been declared in a state of civil protection emergency due to flooding phenomena.
