A total of 603,931 flights were made in 2024, compared to 561,366 flights in 2023
Passenger traffic “jumped” in the totality of airports of the country in the 12 months of 2024 recording an increase of 9.3% with the corresponding period of 2023.
In particular, in the period January – December 2024 in all the country’s airports, where commercial flights are conducted (24 CAA, 14 FRAPORT GREECE, AIA) passenger traffic reached 79,403,911, compared to 72,616,584 passengers in the corresponding period of 2023 .
Regarding the number of aircraft movements (domestic and international aircraft arrivals and departures) for the 12 months of 2024, in all of the country’s 39 airports, whose air traffic control is mainly exercised by the CAA, there was an increase of 7.6% compared to with the corresponding period of January – December 2023.

8% increase in passengers at the 24 airports of the CAA for the 12 months of 2024
Passenger traffic increased by 8% at the 24 airports managed by CAA (Heraklion, Kalamata, Alexandroupoli, Limnos, Astypalaia, Ioannina, Chios, Kozani, Kastoria, Karpathos, Kythira, Milos, Skyros, Nea Aghialos, Paros, Syros, Araxos, Naxos, Kalymnos, Ikaria, Kastellorizo, Kasos, Leros, Sitia) during the period January-December 2024, in relation to the corresponding period of 2023.
In particular, according to the statistics, the total number of passengers (international and domestic passenger arrivals and departures) for 12 months 2024 (January-December) amounted to 11,975,632 passengers, compared to 11,092,141 passengers in the corresponding period of 2023.
