The deadline for submitting applications for participation in the “Social Tourism Program 2025-2026” of the Public Employment Service (DBA) is extended by two days.
Specifically, as stated in a related announcement, The submission of beneficiaries’ applications for all VAT will continue tomorrow Tuesday, May 13th and tomorrow Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
It is noted that, today, Monday, May 12, 2025, applications can only be submitted by the beneficiaries with a VAT that expires at 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.
The program will begin on June 1, 2025 – earlier than ever – and concerns 300,000 vouchers, with a budget of € 50 million.
The check is a unique number for each beneficiary and beneficiary separately, which can carry out up to six nights in accommodation, which he chooses from the “Register of Providers” of DBA, upon consultation with the Provider, with little private participation.
Specifically, in Leros, Lesvos, Chios, Kos, Samos and Rhodes, up to 10 free nights (zero private participation) can take place, while in the municipalities of North Evia and Evros, as well as in Thessaly, except for the Sporades, up to 12 nights.
The subsidy prices are increased by 20% for the peak month of August and for Christmas (15/12/2025 to 14/01/2026) and Easter (03/04/2026 to 19/04/2026).
The increased subsidy applies throughout the year for the accommodation of North Evia, Evros and Thessaly, except for the Sporades.
In addition to staying in tourist accommodation, ferry tickets are also subsidized. Participation is 25%, while for people with disabilities, tickets are free.
The program also provides for special scoring for single group and disabled and increased scoring for lower income beneficiaries.
The disabled is provided for the possibility of participating each year, the entitled of escort and zero private participation in the ferry tickets, and they are not imposed if they do not use their checks.
For parents, there is an increased scoring for each minor child.
In addition, those who have not received checks in the past or have not received a check due to scoring in the last two programs.
Beneficiaries are:
– employees with a dependent employment relationship of private law or
– Insured to E-EFKA in their professional category, with contributions in favor
– Unemployed with an ongoing unemployment period of at least three months at the expiry date of the application deadline.
Family income may not exceed 30,000 euros, while long -term unemployed (at least 12 months of unemployment) there are different income criteria, as described in the public invitation.

The choice of beneficiaries is based on the scoring of specific criteria (disabled, single, number of children, income, first time participation in the program), in an objective and transparent manner, through the integrated DBA Information System (IIS).
As noted in the Communication, employees and unemployed people who are subsidized in a social tourism program for another period for the same period may not be involved in the program of the employees and those who, except for the disabled, received a check on the program 2024-2025.
Supporting documents relating to the conditions for participation or the beneficiaries are sought on its own motion. In cases of non -potential for an ex officio search, the supporting documents are attached to the applications.
Providers are tourist accommodation and ferry companies.
