The fact that the man’s body was found at a height of about three to four meters, and that his hands were tied with a noose, make the experienced members of the Greek Police not rule out yet and the possibility of criminal action.

Police sources told “P” that after the identification made by his relatives – apparently, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Hellenic Police Headquarters has been ordered to compare DNA with a sample from his relatives in order to officially confirm the identity of the body.

The “Patris” newspaper contacted the brother of Angelos, who both himself and his whole family are devastated, and said that within the next few days a biological sample is expected to be taken from the 29-year-old’s mother in order to make the DNA.

In the meantime, the authorities are carefully examining all the evidence that exists so far, they have collected fingerprints both from the noose that wrapped the young man’s hands, and from the ladder that was found very close to where the body was hung.

How was the body found?

The man’s body was found in a country house last Saturday morning (11/25) by the owner of the house who lives outside Ilia and was absent for a long time.

The owner of the house went to the scene last Friday night and the stench was immediately noticeable. The next morning he looked for where it came from and was faced with horror, as he saw the man’s body hanging from one of the trees in the house – and indeed at a very high height, which would hardly be noticed by anyone.
