From Wednesday, December 13th until Wednesday, January 3rd, the “Basket of Christmas“, as provided for in the Ministerial Decision signed today, Friday, December 8, 2023, by the Minister of Development, Kostas Skrekas.

The “Christmas Basket” is an extension of the “Household Basket” already in place, as 6 new food categories are added for the Christmas table. Specifically, the following products are included in the “Christmas Basket”:

• Turkey

• Chocolate

• Greek sweet bread

• Vasilopita (bun)

• Lamb

• Goat.

The Minister of Development, Kostas Skrekas, said: “With the “Christmas Basket” that starts on December 13, Greek consumers can choose the necessary products for the festive season at affordable prices. We remain steadfast in our position: that all Greek households have access to quality products at the best possible prices for the festive table.”

It is noted that the list of existing products in the “Household Basket” remains as is. That is:
