Almost a thousand additional requests are made every hour – A new energy upgrade program is coming
Like… express the program goes “My House II”as at least 45,000 applications have been submitted, as pointed out by the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis. There is great interest from the citizens, about 1000 applications are submitted per hour.
Mr. Speaking to the TV station SKAI, Papathanasis announced that at the end of January, an additional program for the energy upgrade of the residence will be “run” with an interest-free loan of 25,000 euros.
“It was a program that the prime minister claimed from the European Commission and he won it. It is money from the Recovery Fund and it concerns 20,000 households,” pointed out Mr. Papathanasis.
“For the first time we have eligibility approval through gov.gr. We have simplified the procedures, there is no limitation of the three-month approval” he said, adding that due to the great interest “the selection of the beneficiaries will be made in order of priority. The approvals have already started.” At the same time, he clarified that “we have extended age and income criteria. The loan can reach 190,000 euros.”
Regarding the new energy upgrade program, the Deputy Minister of Finance clarified that “there is no age or income limit, it is for everyone. To do an action to upgrade our house”.
