Up 9.6% compared to the whole of 2022

A record increase in passenger traffic and flights was noted in the 11th month of 2023 compared to the corresponding period of 2022 and 2019 for all of our country’s airports (Athens “Eleftherios Venizelos” Airport, 24 airports managed by CAA, 14 regional airports managed by Fraport Greece ).

In particular, according to the statistics of the Civil Aviation Service, an all-time record is recorded at the country’s airports, as it appears that the passenger traffic in the 11th month of 2023 exceeded by 9.6% the 12th month of 2022. It is noted that this year’s 11th month was handled at the airports 69,771,387 passengers, while in the whole of 2022 (12 months) 63,672,121 passengers were transported.

November and November 2023 passenger traffic

Regarding passenger traffic at Greek airports, this year’s November recorded an increase in passenger traffic by 23.5% compared to 2022 and by 12.7% compared to 2019, as 2,925,746 were handled in 2023, 2,369 were handled in 2022 .079 and in 2019 2,596,285 passengers were transported.

Also, for the 11th month of the year 2023 in Greece (January/November 2023) the total number of passengers in the airports (arrivals and departures of foreign and domestic passengers), reached 69,771,387, compared to 61,229,394 in the corresponding period of 2022 and 61,665,799 passengers in 2019. From the above statistics, there is a 14% increase in passenger traffic compared to 2022 and a 13.1% increase compared to 2019.

November and November 2023 flights

In the area of ​​air traffic flight statistics (domestic and international aircraft arrivals and departures) November 2023 there were 24,842 flights, compared to 23,218 in 2022 and 23,774 flights in 2019, with air traffic increasing by 7%, compared to 2022 and an increase of 4.5% compared to 2019. From the flight statistics for the 11th month of the year 2023 (January/November 2023) it appears that there were 537,172 flights in 2023, compared to 528,292 in 2022 and 502,646 flights in 2019, with the airline 11-month 2023 traffic to be up 1.7% compared to 2022 and up 6.9% compared to 2019.
