Mild downward trends prevailed in today’s meeting Stock market, With investors proceeding with partial short -winning profits, with the market receding below 1,700 units, amid a downward climate and European markets.

The General Price Index closed at 1,697.11 points, down 0.34%.

Endocunena recorded lower price at 1,690.38 points (-0.73%).

On a weekly basis, the basic stock market index rose 0.21%, while in early 2025 it has made a profit of 15.48%.

The value of the transactions amounted to EUR 469.59 million, of which € 118 million relates to the package of 53 million shares of Alpha Bank allocated by John Polason for € 2,225 per share.

The high capitalization index fell 0.35%, while the middle capitalization index fell 0.98%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the shares of Optima Bank (+4.40%), OPAP (+3.64%), Coca Cola HBC (+1.26%) and AIA (+0.93%) were the highest.

On the other hand, the shares of PPA (-4.60%), Sarantis (-3.28%), Elvalhalcor (-2.88%), Ethniki (-2.41%) and Eurobanbk (-2.26%) fell the biggest decline.

The largest volume of trading was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank with 75,817,219 and 11,980,619 shares, respectively.

Alpha Bank recorded the highest transaction value with € 169.81 million and Piraeus with € 55.86 million.

37 shares went up, 64 and 20 remained stable, was reported in the EIA.

The shares rose the most: Attic editions (+6.80%) and a runner (+5.17%).

The shares were the largest decline: Minerva (-5.35%) and PPA (-4.60%).
