Another person involved who was with the arrested person is being sought
A 65-year-old man was arrested as part of the spontaneous procedure on Sunday afternoon by police officers of the Racist Violence Department of the Directorate of Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes for insult, threat, physical harm, crimes committed with racist characteristics, due to the victim’s sexual orientation.
In particular, according to EL.AS., on Saturday morning the 65-year-old together with another person passing by vehicle from Gazi where the 27-year-old was with a friend, addressed abusive expressions based on his sexual orientation. Afterwards and while they had driven away with the vehicle, they returned, got out of the vehicle and after approaching the 27-year-old, threatened him and threw him to the ground using physical violence, injuring him in the shoulder.
The Department of Racial Violence that investigated the case, after a combined evaluation of information and evidence, identified and located the 65-year-old, while the investigation continues to locate the other person involved. The 65-year-old was taken to the Athens District Attorney.
