The market has been moving at Black Friday pace since the morning, with crowds of people rushing to the shops to take advantage of the offers.
The pedestrian street of Ermou, the most commercial street in the center of Athens, was filled early with people looking at the windows, entering the shops and comparing prices, in order to take advantage of the best offer. In fact, queues were not missing in some shops.
The same picture in Thessaloniki, where in a shopping center many people had formed queues outside a sporting goods store, before… the start of the opening hours. Dozens of people – mainly young people – waited patiently in line to hunt for offers, according to thesstoday.gr. In the spirit of the day, however, it seems that there were also businesses that we are not used to taking part in this commercial institution such as electricity supply companies, travel agencies and even take away cafes.
The… older Black Fridays in the country were recalled by the images in the center of Larissa, with people of all ages waiting and pushing at the store entrance of a well-known chain of women’s and men’s clothing, while the blinds were being raised, as it had advertised in the previous days discounts up to 40%
However, according to the first data, 2 out of 3 who bought something, did so online. Many had focused for days on the products they were interested in and in the morning proceeded to order.
