At the 41st International Tourism Exhibition Holiday & Spa Expo 2025, held in Sofia, Bulgaria, the Region participated Central Macedonia, In collaboration with the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization, the Pierian Organization for Tourism Development and Promotion and the Halkidiki Tourism Organization.
Central Macedonia is an extremely popular destination for Bulgarian visitors who, due to proximity, travel to the area many times throughout the year and especially in summer. In addition to Halkidiki, the Olympic Riviera and the tourist resorts of the Strimonian Gulf – Asprovalta and the New Vrasna – Bulgarian visitors are increasingly interesting to get to know new destinations in the area, as noted in a statement. Indeed, there is an increased demand for alternative forms of tourism, such as religious and cultural and healing tourism. As part of the exhibition, a special presentation of the Macedonian cuisine was presented, with an emphasis on the local products of each area.
