“Kanakis took the director and told him to “put a hand on us””
Dimitris Ougarezos did not mince his words and through his morning radio show on My Radio, except for his reference to Giorgos Liagas regarding the numbers and Achilleas Beo – the presenter had put the Mayor of Volos on the air, with the latter then cursing Alcinoos Ioannidis in the air -, referred to the feud between Antonis Kanakis and the presenter of “Proinos”, but also his choices Grigoris Arnautoglou.
“Who made Achilles Beo curse Alcinous Ioannidis? It also went well in numberswas one of the moments when “Breakfast” was spent on New Year’s Eve. Nobody wants the good of viewers, everybody wants numbersDimitris Ungarezos initially said.
“It was Grigoris, George and Kanakis. Antonis also had an executive position at the time, he was in charge of entertainment. There was this conflict of whether or not we take people out, who we know have divisive to abusive speech.. From Notis Sfakianakis and Failos Kranidiotis to Golden Dawn etc.
Liagas and Arnautoglou, although they disagree by definition about the way they do this work, they argue that you should get these people out, for different reasons. Grigoris because he tells you that the other person must know what he is listening to and Liagas because he tells you that they are playing tricks. On the other, Kanakis said that they should not go out“, the presenter continued to say.
Dimitris Ungarezos then added: “And Kanakis took issue with the station itself, in which he was an executive, which allows shows like George’s. This was the basis of the dispute. Antonis was constantly complaining about our show. And the icing on the cake was when we commented on a photo of Antonis Kanakis, when he had hair done. We played it viral, not to mock and he was broken. It was funny. So he took it and demanded to put a big hand in us. I don’t know if Antonis wanted us to quit, but he took the manager and told him to put a hand on us”, he emphasized, among other things.
