A new Group in the field of Health, with more than 2,500 employees and 1,380 hospital beds is created with the acquisition of Euromedica hospitals from “Henry Dunan”.
As announced by Imithea M.A.E., owner of “Errikos Dunan”, an agreement has been reached in principle with Farallon, which controls the Euromedicawhich will now be limited to the operation of its diagnostic centers.
Based on the agreement, the ongoing acquisition process provides for the acquisition by “Errikos Dunan” of six General and Obstetric Clinics in Athens, Thessaloniki, Rhodes and Kozani, a Rehabilitation Center in Thessaloniki, as well as holdings in other Rehabilitation Centers and companies supplies, currently owned by Euromedica.
It is pointed out that the IMITHEA M.A.E. and Euromedica had started consultations last year for their merger and the creation of a new scheme, in which “Erikos Dunan” would have a majority shareholding position. With the new agreement in principle, the diagnostic centers are detached and remain under the control of Euromedica, while all its hospitals are acquired by the company that owns “Erikos Dunan”.

“The company IMITHEA M.A.E., owner of the ERRIKOS DYNAN hospital, announces that it has reached an agreement in principle with Farallon for the acquisition of the main body of the EUROMEDICA Group, after the spin-off of the Diagnostic Centers. The acquisition concerns 6 General and Obstetric Clinics in Athens, Thessaloniki, Rhodes and Kozani, 1 Rehabilitation Center in Thessaloniki and holdings in other Rehabilitation Centers and Procurement, IT and Real Estate Exploitation companies.
The aim of the acquisition is to create one of the largest health groups in Greece that will offer secondary care services through a network of hospitals and clinics with a wide geographical coverage of the Greek territory.
This new group will employ more than 2,500 workers, having more than 1,380 secondary care beds throughout Greece, having the ability to treat more than 120,000 cases per year and serve more than 750,000 outpatient cases in its network of clinics.
It is noted that the acquisition process is ongoing and its completion is subject to the approval of the competent Competition Authority and the receipt of the approvals provided by the Law”.
