When does it start in Athens, Piraeus and Thessaloniki – What days will the shops be closed?

Entrepreneurs and consumers are counting down to the start of the festive opening hours of commercial stores ahead of Christmas and the New Year.

The festive opening hours will come into effect next Thursday, December 12 for the stores in Athens and Piraeus, and two days later, on Saturday, December 14, the festive opening hours will also come into effect for the stores in the city of Thessaloniki. The stores will be open on the next three Sundays, namely December 15th, December 22nd and December 29th.

In detail, the festive opening hours of the stores are as follows:

  • Thursday 12 December 09:00-21:00
  • Friday 13 December 09:00-21:00
  • Saturday 14 December 09:00-21:00
  • Sunday 15 December 11:00-18:00
  • Monday 16 December 09:00-21:00
  • Tuesday 17 December 09:00-21:00
  • Wednesday 18 December 09:00-21:00
  • Thursday 19 December 09:00-21:00
  • Friday 20 December 09:00-21:00
  • Saturday 21 December 09:00-21:00
  • Sunday 22 December 11:00-18:00
