Three days of mourning were declared in the Greek Police by the decision of the Minister of Citizen Protection, Yiannis Oikonomou
Family, relatives and friends of the 31-year-old will say their last goodbyes on Friday policeman, who breathed his last today (27/12) after a long battle after being seriously injured by a naval flare in the episodes of Renti. The funeral of Giorgos Lyggeridis will take place in Thessaloniki.
According to ERT, the funeral service will be held on Friday, 29/12/2023 at 13:30 at the Holy Church of Agios Dimitrios, in Thessaloniki and his burial will take place in the cemetery of the Holy Church of the Resurrection of the Lord, in Thermi.
By decision of the Minister of Citizen Protection, Mr. Yiannis Oikonomou, three days of mourning are declared in the Greek Police, from today 27 to 29 December 2023.
