The Minister of Rural Development and Food Lefteris Avgenakis stressed that the Organization needs a better structure and operation
The payments of the balances of the IAS 2022 equalization, basic support, greening and Young Farmers were completed today.
A total of 105,000 beneficiaries were paid 15,844,541 euros.
It is recalled that the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Lefteris Avgenakis, speaking to farmers at the EAS of Drama, emphasized that he has instructed the administration of the Organization to pay all arrears, while he noted that the OKAY it needs a better organizational structure and more transparency.
“We want transparency, consistency, respect for the money that the EU gives to farmers. We will not spare anyone. OPEKEPE is not an autonomous state, but an organization that is supervised by the Ministry of Transport and Communications and must operate for the good of farmers only,” he said characteristically.
