Rain and local storms tomorrow Sunday – What weather will we celebrate Epiphany?

The forecast of the National Meteorological Service

Clouds with local rains and short-term storms are expected tomorrow Sunday, December 5 in the Cyclades, Crete and the Dodecanese, with a gradual improvement of the weather during the day, while in the rest of the country few clouds are expected, temporarily increased in the morning hours, so there will be light rains in Sporades and Evia.

Visibility in the evening hours will be locally limited and fog will form. Winds will blow from north directions 3 to 5 and in the Aegean locally 6 Beaufort. The temperature will drop slightly. In the north it will not exceed 9 to 11 degrees, while it will reach 14 to 16 degrees in the rest of the regions and locally 17 degrees Celsius in the south. In the northern continental regions, there will be local frost in the morning hours.

MACEDONIA, THRACE

Weather: A few clouds temporarily increasing in the morning hours.
Winds: Variable 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From -02 (minus 2) to 11 degrees Celsius.

IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIROS, WEST STEREA, WEST PELOPONNISOS

Weather: A few clouds.
Winds: North northwest 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 05 to 17 degrees Celsius. In the interior of Epirus it will be from 00 (zero) to 10 degrees lower.

EASTERN STEREA, EVIA, EASTERN PELOPONNISOS

Weather: A few clouds temporarily increased in the morning hours, so light rains will occur in Evia.
Winds: North 3 to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 04 to 16 degrees Celsius.

CYCLADES, CRETE

Weather: Temporarily increased clouds with local rains that will gradually be limited to Crete.
Winds: North 4 to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 11 to 17 degrees Celsius.

EAST AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANISE

Weather: Temporarily increased clouds with local rains in the Dodecanese until noon.
Winds: North 4 to 5 and locally in the Dodecanese 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 10 to 17 degrees Celsius.

THESSALY

Weather: A few clouds temporarily increased in the morning hours, so light rains will occur in the Sporades.
Winds: Variable 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 03 to 15 degrees Celsius.

ATTICA

Weather: A few clouds temporarily increasing in the morning hours.
Winds: Northerly 3 to 4 and locally in the east temporary up to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 06 to 15 degrees Celsius.

THESSALONIKI

Weather: A few clouds temporarily increased.
Winds: Variable 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 05 to 11 degrees Celsius.

The weather forecast on Epiphany day

On Monday, January 6, few clouds are predicted, temporarily increased in places. Visibility in the morning and evening hours will be locally limited and fog will form. From the afternoon in the west there will be light local rains. The winds will be weak and in the southern coast northwest 3 to 5 Beaufort, gradually south southwest 3 to 4 will prevail and from the afternoon up to 5 Beaufort.

The temperature will reach 11 to 13 degrees in the north, 14 to 16 in the rest of the country and locally 17 degrees in the west and south. In the northern continental regions, there will be local frost in the morning hours.

Forecast for Tuesday, January 7

Temporarily increased clouds are forecast throughout the country. Local rains will occur in the western and eastern and southern Aegean. In the northwest, the phenomena will intensify from the afternoon and sporadic storms will occur.
Visibility in the morning and evening hours will be locally limited. The winds will blow south southwest 4 to 5 and in the seas locally 6 Beaufort. The temperature will rise slightly, mainly in terms of minimum values.

Forecast for Wednesday, January 8

In the west and in the eastern and southern Aegean, clouds are predicted with local rains and in the west sporadic storms. The phenomena after noon will gradually weaken. Partly cloudy in the rest of the country. Visibility in the morning and evening hours will be locally limited and fog will form. Winds will blow from south directions 4 to 5 and in the Aegean locally 6 Beaufort with gradual weakening from the afternoon. The temperature will rise slightly further.

Forecast for Thursday, January 9

A few clouds temporarily increased in places, with the possibility of light rains in the west and the east and south Aegean. Visibility in the morning and evening hours will be locally limited and fog will form. The winds will blow south southwest 3 to 4 and in the seas locally 5 Beaufort. The temperature will not change appreciably.
