“When I went to do chemotherapy and saw my fellow human beings with much more difficult forms of cancer, only I didn’t curse me”
Stefanos Korkolis was at “Studio 4” on Christmas day. The well-known music composer was welcomed by Nancy Zampetoglou and Thanasis Anagnostopoulos, having a comprehensive discussion with him about his long career in the field of singing.
“If you read the biographies of very talented people, you will see that they are in the dark. I almost felt that everything is over when the doctor announced my illness. I find the strength inside me like all people, the point is to activate it”, admits Stefanos Korkolis.
“When I went to do the chemotherapy and saw my fellow human beings with much more difficult forms of cancer, only I didn’t curse me. I said: what are you sitting on? It helps! When at that time you see a person who has the same problem as you but to a multiple degree, what works for me is to help and not to look at my side“, the well-known composer then narrates.
“I lend a helping hand in any way I can, with a good conversation or even with my songs,” emphasizes Stefanos Korkolis.
“But the day the doctor announced my illness, I said: why me? Now we are more smitten with this disease. What I want to emphasize is that we should go to the doctor every year, even if nothing is found“, confesses Stefanos Korkolis at another point of the interview.
