“The child has to say the word mom, I’m not a mom by any means,” the actor said
On the question of adoption by same-sex couples Tasos Chalkias spoke in the interview he gave to the show “Elene” and to Konstantina Dimopoulou. The popular actor invoked the words of Lakis Gavalas and expressed his opposition to such legislation.
“My mother didn’t talk much in front of her husband. We had more of a matriarchy back then. When we moved to patriarchy the men’s revenge was fierce and maybe still is. My father was very hard, and he couldn’t be, when he worked 16 hours a day. There were outbursts of ferocity but I don’t consider myself abused and I’ve eaten a lot of wood in my life,” said Tasos Chalkias and explained that he struggled to dissuade his children from acting while also talking about love: “Both my children were talented. You can’t be in love forever in a relationship. Love goes somewhere else, to interest, love, appreciation.”
In relation to the bill concerning marriage and procreation for same-sex couples, Tasos Chalkias said: “For procreation, fortunately, Lakis Gavalas relieved me of this answerthe child must say the word mom, I am not a mom in any case.”
In closing, Tasos Chalkias said: “I played with great actors on the board in their decline, and I don’t mean qualitatively, but in the decline of their artistic organization. When a great actor – I don’t want to mention a name – has played in Epidaurus and is playing in Delfinario, I don’t say it disparagingly but why is he playing there? To make a living and die on the board? Board to board has cracks, they are not the same. It’s not about me dying on the board.”
