It is about Eugenia, a woman who worked as a waitress in Xanthi where she met her 42-year-old partner.
While everything was beautiful in the beginning, day by day the problems started. According to reports from the victim’s environment, the unfortunate Eugenia was subjected to abusive behavior. As they claimed, her partner started hitting her and threatening her to keep her from talking.
He allegedly locked her inside the house and wouldn’t let her out, cut off all communication with her friends, her sister and her parents.
Things took a turn for the worse very soon. On October 23, he was found being transferred to the emergency room of Sismanoglio Komotini with broken cervical vertebrae and heavy blows. He was immediately admitted to the intensive care unit of the General Hospital of Alexandroupoli.
Until then her partner claimed that Eugenia fell into a pothole on the road while they were walking. The doctors did not believe him and notified the authorities as the multiple injuries on the victim had no justification.
This is how the Domestic Violence Department of Komotini took over the case. The 42-year-old man was arrested and after his confession was remanded in prison in Komotini with five felonies including attempted murder with intent in a calm state of mind.
The unfortunate girl was fighting for her life all this time.
Her relatives took her a few days ago to a special hospital in Bulgaria, but unfortunately she passed away the day before yesterday.
