The General Price Index closed at 1,419.51 points, recording losses of 0.80%
Falling trends were recorded in share prices in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, where liquidations were the focus of banking shares, as investors proceeded to sell to secure part of the significant gains they recorded in the previous sessions.
The General Price Index closed at 1,419.51 points, down 0.80%. Intra-session recorded a lower price at 1,414.99 points (-1.11%).
The value of transactions amounted to 146.28 million euros, of which 36.1 million euros related to transactions in packages, while a total of 37,822,686 shares were traded.
The large-cap index fell 0.96%, while the mid-cap index declined 0.26%.
Of the large capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of PPA (+1.68%), Titan (+1.49%), PPC (+0.82%) and Lamda Development (+0. 69%).
On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Ethniki (-3.37%), AIA (-2.01%), Eurobank (-1.67%), Piraeus (-1.61%), Autohellas ( -1.47%) and Motor Oil (-1.46%).
The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 16,066,119 and 5,491,169 shares, respectively.
The highest transaction value was recorded by National Bank with 32.23 million euros and Alpha Bank with 25.86 million euros.
33 stocks moved up, 56 down and 31 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Mermeren +7.32% and MIG +5.04%.
The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Attica Bank -29.94% and National Bank -3.37%.
