Stock prices recorded upward trends in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, with the market returning above the levels of 1,400 units.
The market bounced back after five down sessions, during which the main stock index posted a combined loss of 3.69%.
The General Price Index closed at 1,401.18 points, marking an increase of 0.79%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,409.71 units (+1.40%).
The value of transactions amounted to 182.33 million euros, of which 56.07 million euros concern transactions in packages, while 52,027,376 shares were traded.
The large-cap index rose 0.99%, while the mid-cap index rose marginally to 0.09%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of AIA (+4.09%), Ethniki (+2.98%), Eurobank (+2.55%) and Titan (+1.87 %).
On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Coca Cola HBC (-1.57%), Viohalco (-1.12%) and ELPE (-0.87%).
The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Piraeus, trading 26,919,487 and 6,834,963 shares, respectively.
The highest value of transactions was recorded by Nthniki with 49.61 million euros and Piraeus with 21.92 million euros.
68 stocks moved up, 33 fell and 26 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Epilectos +10.00% and AIA +4.09%.
The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Viator -9.44% and Prodea -5.80%.
