The company of the popular social networking media leaves spikes for non -equal implementation of the frame
Tiktok’s reaction was prompted by the European Commission’s recent finding that ads on the online platform violate the law on digital services.
Specifically, the Commission, after research, found that Tiktok does not provide the necessary information on the content of the ads, the users to whom the ads are addressed and who paid for the ads. Representative of the online platform stated:
“We are considering the European Commission’s preliminary findings on our advertising repository and remain committed to compliance with our obligations under Digital Services Act (DSA) law. Although we support the goals of this regulation and continue to improve our transparency tools in ads, we express our opposition to some of the committee’s interpretations, stressing that guidance is provided through preliminary findings and not through public guidelines. We consider equal conditions and consistent, systematic implementation of the framework necessary. We will continue to work with the Commission, as we do throughout this process. “
