On the new Patras-Pyrgos highway, the 21.3 km long A section implemented by AVAX is also the most complex, according to the company, which in a video it posted shows frame-by-frame how this particular section is constructed of the highway. For 13 km a small feat is being done as the works for the new road are taking place while the traffic on the old one is running normally. The beginning looks like it is half of a big project with a strong social and economic footprint.
The camera monitors the stormy pace with which AVAX is carrying out the projects in the A’ section of new Patras – Pyrgoswhich starts just outside the Achaean capital, from Midilogli and reaches Karaike.

In order to make the new Patras-Pyrgos highway a reality, more than 450 workers are working in the A’ section and it is currently at 53% of its implementation.

Two traffic lanes in each direction with a total width of 14m, 2 bridges, 19 overpasses and underpasses, 3 uneven junctions, 42 retaining walls.
AVAX applies strict safety and environmental protection measures for the construction of the project: 14 water tankers reduce suspended dust daily, special measures are applied to reduce nuisance during construction, while in collaboration with the University of Thessaly, the construction company conducts environmental measurements , complying with the most modern specifications.
