The 35-year-old was reported by his ex-wife
Facing justice is yet another police officer from the Parliament guard who is said to be the protagonist in a new incident of domestic violence.
The public prosecutor brought criminal proceedings against him for continuous domestic threat and referred him to be tried in the Autonomous Single-Member Misdemeanor Court. However, the trial of the policeman was postponed until Thursday due to the impediment of his lawyer, who is absent abroad.
The court let efree the policeman with the condition of not approaching or communicating with the victim who was not present in court.
The prosecution concerns complaints by the defendant’s ex-wife about threats from September 2023 onwards.
The case came to light after the complaints of the policeman’s ex-wife according to which he threatened and abused her.
In fact, the 32-year-old reportedly said that the defendant in 2021 had again threatened her by grabbing her by the neck.
The woman put a panic button, however, she did not want to be accommodated in a structure.
According to information, the former couple has sued each other with the police officer accusing the 32-year-old of false accusation.
A preliminary examination is already being conducted by the Athens Misdemeanor Prosecutor’s Office for the earlier complaints of the policeman’s ex-wife, as well as for the policeman’s lawsuit against his wife.
The police officer, who allegedly has no disciplinary offenses in his file, was removed from the guard of the Parliament.
