What market sources say
At the lowest level since 2022 its launch price is expected heating oil today, October 15, according to the latest market estimates.
The average price in Attica is expected to be 1.15-1.17 euros per liter with an upward escalation in the region and the islands due to transportation costs.
Last year – according to data from the Price Observatory of the Ministry of Development – the nationwide average price of heating oil at the beginning of the period was 1.425 euros per liter (in Attica 1.4 euros) and in 2022 it was respectively 1.409 euros nationwide and 1.379 euros in Attica.
Market sources said consumption figures for April, at the end of the heating season, show that the majority of consumers have not stockpiled oil for next winter. They estimate that despite the fact that the weather still does not force the oil market, those who believe that there is a risk of an increase in international prices will rush to order.
